Viador Announces The Release of E-Portal Suite 6.5
The Newest Version Offers Enhanced Functionality, Increased Scalability and Enriched Business Intelligence Capabilities

Sunnyvale, Calif., May 29, 2002. Viador Inc.™ (OTC Bulletin Board: VIAD), a veteran enterprise portal provider today announced general availability of its E-Portal Suite 6.5—a significant development that incorporates valued customer feedback and technology advancements providing a greater ease of use for the end user as well as the administrators of the portal. With enhanced portlet functionality, increased scalability and enriched Business Intelligence capabilities, E-Portal 6.5 continues the tradition of addressing the real-world needs of enterprise customers.

Much like email overload experienced today, portal information overload is a serious issue for real-world portal users – with organizations pushing tens of thousands of reports and documents into the portal. Viador E-Portal 6.5 addresses this deluge of data with enhanced intelligent display options to be able to page the display listings as well as with refined search capabilities to retrieve just the desired content. These enhancements manage the environment more efficiently, saving the user or administrator the time it takes to get at the information resulting in a significant increase in productivity. These productivity gains are also realized at the server level—as the content is retrieved intelligently— the throughput on the hardware becomes more efficient. The improved server throughput and intelligent content retrieval enables the portal to scale to a greater number of users without impacting the user’s experience and the portal’s performance.

With increased demand for web-based reporting and output options, the OLAP analytic component of the Viador E-Portal in the 6.5 release has undergone significant improvements as well. These improvements include more output flexibility for the end-user and the designers of an OLAP presentation. In addition to Java output and strong interactivity functionality, some of the new features provide predefined export options to common desktop formats such as PDF, HTML, CSV and Excel. This greatly enhances the users’ options in what they can do with the data as well as being able to print the reports using their standard desktop tools.

Viador E-Portal 6.5 is generally available today in English with updated Chinese to follow shortly. Other currently supported international languages from previous releases include Korean, Japanese, Chinese and German.
